Advance Diploma in Computer Science

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Advance Diploma in Computer Engineering is a Diploma level course. The program uses an “electronics first” approach to computers by providing a strong foundation in electronics, data communications and digital signaling. You’ll gain extensive training in programming, including structured programming techniques using C and C++, Assembler, Visual Basic and Java. In addition, you’ll study operating systems such as Microsoft Windows and Unix/Linux. PC hardware assembly and troubleshooting, as well as computer network design, installation and support, including Cisco router implementation, are also addressed. The course provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent in a range of Computer Systems fields at diploma level. The qualification has a strong core Computer Systems base sharing the same core competencies as several other IT qualifications of the same level.
